What you'll do:

As an HR Business Partner – Asia and Middle East, you will be at the heart of developing and deploying effective people solutions tailored to diverse regional needs.

  • Advise senior leaders in Asia and the Middle East on all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Forge influential working relationships with key stakeholders including Function Heads, Business Services Directors, Partners, managers, and other critical individuals within the firm.
  • Deliver tailored people solutions that drive organisational objectives by collaborating closely with senior managers to build capabilities aligned with firm-wide strategy.
  • Utilise evidence-based data insights to identify people priorities for the business and proactively address future needs through strategic planning.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policy interpretation to ensure consistent compliance with local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with market information and employment law variations across locations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Doha, and others.
  • Lead dedicated HR initiatives in local offices to ensure alignment with global strategy while supporting unique regional requirements.
  • Offer advisory and coaching services to senior management so they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for effective people management.
  • Manage key strategic projects in partnership with the business to deliver positive change outcomes through best practice procedures.
  • Implement performance management processes that foster continuous improvement by integrating clear objectives, feedback mechanisms, and client service excellence based on firm values.

What you bring:

To excel as an HR Business Partner – Asia and Middle East you will bring substantial experience operating as an HR generalist within complex environments where collaboration is key.

  • Fluency in English plus Cantonese or Mandarin is required to effectively communicate across regional offices.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of employment law in Asia and the Middle East along with associated directives is vital for success.
  • Proven ability to form strong collaborative relationships when advising on areas of practice as a trusted partner.
  • Experience translating strategy into practical application using commercial acumen within a regulated environment such as professional services.
  • Generalist expertise spanning attraction, selection, development, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, and exit strategies throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Minimum 10 years’ HR experience including at least 5 years consulting at leadership level; ideally gained within professional services or another regulated sector.
  • Outstanding communication skills combined with interpersonal sensitivity enabling you to influence outcomes positively while problem-solving complex issues.
  • Solid negotiation abilities alongside change management expertise; capable of managing strategic projects from inception through delivery.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring others within an HR function; able to guide operational teams towards high-quality service delivery.
