A shipping company seeks a Total Rewards Manager in Kowloon to lead global compensation, benefits, and performance reward strategies aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities:

As Total Rewards Manager, you will lead compensation, benefits, and performance reward programmes to ensure fair, competitive, and compliant strategies.

    • Drive the overall C&B strategy by developing analytical models, conducting market benchmarking, analysing pay trends, and leading annual salary, bonus, and incentive planning cycles
    • Oversee global job architecture and evaluation, including job grading governance, market competitiveness assessments, and benchmarking using recognised methodologies (e.g. Mercer IPE, Spinnaker)
    • Partner closely with HR and business leaders to implement performance management frameworks and reward programmes aligned with the organisation’s compensation philosophy
    • Develop, review, and maintain HR and reward policies, ensuring data integrity, organisational alignment, and effective execution of compensation-related initiatives and projects
    • Manage benefits programmes end-to-end, ensuring regulatory compliance through vendor management, employee support, and adherence to employment laws, reporting standards, and audit requirements

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring expertise in global compensation, job evaluation, pay cycles, and benefits compliance, with strong analytical and communication skills.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, with 5–10 years’ experience leading compensation programmes within multinational organisations
    • Proven experience with job evaluation methodologies (Mercer IPE preferred) and managing global salary structures, pay bands, and job catalogues
    • Strong quantitative, modelling, and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
    • Solid understanding of employment legislation, benefits compliance, and external reward market trends, supported by a strong professional network
    • A confident communicator and proactive self-starter, able to influence stakeholders, operate effectively in ambiguous environments, and remain results-focused
    • Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) are an advantage
