Risk Management Team Head (Marine Claims | HK Listed company)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Team Head to lead their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and maintain strong working relationships with various departments and external business partners, manage marine-related insurance covers, and handle claims efficiently. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a dynamic environment, where their skills in Admiralty Law, insurance, and risk management will be highly valued.

What you'll do:

• Managing a team of over 10 professionals located in PRC and Hong Kong.
• Establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal departments and external business partners.
• Overseeing the procurement and administration of all marine-related insurance policies.
• Evaluating claims handled by team members and providing support to ensure efficient issue resolution.
• Preparing insurance cost budgets and reporting key insurance and claims-related matters to management.
• Assisting in the review of contracts such as Charterparties, Vessel Sharing Agreements, and Joint Service Agreements.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and contractual requirements.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Admiralty Law.
• Professional insurance qualifications such as FCII or ACII.
• At least 10 years of experience in average adjusting, shipping/logistics, insurance, insurance broking, or admiralty law.
• Proven ability to independently manage Hull & Machinery and Protection & Indemnity incidents and claims.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and other relevant computer skills.
