VP - First Line Control Lead

We are currently in search of a first line control leader for an international pension services and fund adminstration provider. Experience from the pension industry is an advantage but we welcome candidates from different background within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with pension services and fund administration.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work closely with operational teams to integrate risk management practices into daily operations and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor risk indicators, prepare regular reports on risk exposure and control effectiveness, and present findings to senior management.
  • Provide training and support to staff on risk management practices and the importance of risk awareness.
  • Lead investigations into risk incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented and documented.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the pension and fund administration sectors and ensure that the company adheres to these regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in first line control, risk management, compliance, or internal audit, preferably within the financial services or pension/ fund administration sector.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), English
