Key responsibilities

As Director of Private Credit, you will play a critical role in driving private credit investments across the Asia-Pacific region. Your ability to identify opportunities, structure complex transactions, and foster strong relationships will be key to your success.

• Originate and evaluate private credit investment opportunities by leveraging your network among corporates and financial sponsors across Asia-Pacific
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments using advanced financial modelling techniques and sector-specific research while considering ESG factors and regulatory frameworks
• Structure and negotiate bespoke transactions tailored to the unique requirements of private credit deals in the region
• Lead investment decision processes, draft persuasive memoranda, monitor portfolio positions, and manage early-warning or restructuring situations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, engage with investors and market participants, and mentor junior team members on credit analysis and technical development.

Candidate profile

You bring deep expertise in private credit or related fields such as leveraged finance or structured finance, coupled with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. Your ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional environments and build lasting relationships will set you apart.

• Extensive experience in private credit origination or mid-market lending within leading financial institutions or asset managers
• Proven track record of working with corporates, family-owned enterprises, promoters, or financial sponsors across diverse sectors in Asia-Pacific markets
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and scenario analysis for evaluating complex investment opportunities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships internally and externally
• Strong commercial awareness of economic trends, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements specific to the Asia-Pacific region
