Private Wealth Management Analyst

As a Private Wealth Management Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Markets Strategies and Investments (MSI) Team.

  • Opportunity to support the MSI Team in managing the PWM product shelf
  • Perform due diligence on new and existing products
  • Monitor market trends from various sources

What you'll do:

  • Support the MSI Team in managing the PWM product shelf, including ongoing monitoring of products, management reporting and prospectus management
  • Perform due diligence on new and existing products, including conducting financial statement analysis and annual reviews on bond issuers or listed companies
  • Analyze complexity of instruments and related structured products, including equity, bond, ETF and index etc.
  • Monitor market trends from various sources including market research reports, trading data and investment seminars
  • Work closely with different internal stakeholders to keep abreast of regulatory/internal policy changes, market trend and product development
  • Conduct analysis in relation to the full product life cycle including product design, materials and flows to ensure compliance with regulation and internal requirements
  • Participate in projects related to investment products for enhancing the existing process

What you bring:

  • University graduate with degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a bank, preferably in private banking/wealth management with comprehensive knowledge in products such as Fixed income, equity, structured products, alternative investments, OTC derivatives
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and experience in assessing investment values from private banking perspective
  • Attention to detail with ability to analyze risk and regulatory issues to products and business models
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Access) and programming (VBA)
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English; fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin is an advantage
