Investment Analyst- Private Equity (Renewables/Energy)

This is global PE firm. They are looking for an analyst to support their energy/renewables sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Evaluation & Deal Execution

• Evaluate Investment Opportunities: Prepare detailed investment memos for the Investment Committee, build financial models to conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses, and lead comprehensive due diligence processes.
• Support Deal Structuring and Execution: Assist in negotiating term sheets, structuring transactions, and coordinating with advisors to ensure smooth deal execution.
• Deal Origination: Review teaser decks and Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) to conduct initial screening of potential investment opportunities.

Active Portfolio Management

• Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and governance for portfolio companies, ensuring alignment between business objectives and shareholder value creation.
• Executive Advisory: Advise executive management on critical business decisions, including capital allocation, growth strategies, and operational improvements.
• Budget & Business Plan Review: Evaluate and approve budgets, business plans, and major investment/divestment initiatives for portfolio companies.
• Support Fundraising & Partnerships: Assist in fundraising efforts, M&A underwriting processes, and the development of strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in finance/engineering/ economics etc.
• 1-3 years financial modelling and valuation skills in energy/renewables etc.
• Open to Big 4 or PE firm experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise senior executives and coordinate with external advisors.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on driving value creation.
