KYC/ Account Opening – WM, 12-month Contract

A global financial institution seeks a KYC / Account Opening Professional to support compliant onboarding and regulatory processes in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

As a KYC / Account Opening Professional, you will manage onboarding, conduct due diligence checks, ensure regulatory compliance, and escalate risks while supporting efficient client service.

• Facilitate collection, verification, and review of KYC documents in compliance with regulations and internal procedures
• Perform checks on account documentation; review and approve KYC for non-high-risk accounts
• Conduct periodic KYC/CDD reviews for existing clients and escalate red flags promptly
• Maintain accurate client records (electronic/paper) and prepare reports for management review
• Ensure adherence to AML/KYC standards, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring Private Banking or Wealth Management experience, strong compliance knowledge, bilingual fluency, solid technical skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach with high integrity.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
• 3–5 years' experience in Private Banking (PB), Wealth Management (WM), or financial services industries, preferably in KYC/AML areas
• Strong understanding of account documentation, due diligence processes, AML/KYC regulations, and compliance standards
• Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese required; Mandarin is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Access is an advantage
