Our client, a leading investment banking group, is looking for an Associate/AVP to join their expanding team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Investigate Trade Discrepancies: Collaborate with agents and internal teams to promptly investigate and resolve unmatched or mismatched trades, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed swiftly.

  • Monitor Settlements: Conduct daily reviews of outstanding APAC domestic settlements, auditing trade reports from agents to ensure accuracy in all transactions.

  • Amend Trades: Process trade amendments based on appropriate supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Manage Escalations: Proactively follow up on mismatched trades escalated from other regions, coordinating with global colleagues to ensure timely resolutions.

  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold company policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory standards in every aspect of trade support operations.

  • Maintain Client Relations: Respond to client and front office inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing clear communication and reliable support at all times.

  • Handle SWIFT Messaging: Construct and validate manual SWIFT messages as needed, showcasing technical proficiency in managing complex settlement instructions.

  • Monitor Market Trends: Keep an ongoing watch on market conditions to proactively identify and address issues that could affect the successful settlement of Asian domestic trades.

  • Record Management: Maintain detailed records of all trade activities, guaranteeing transparency and accountability for each transaction.

  • Facilitate Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, including Front Office staff, to promote seamless operational processes across various business units.

Requirements:

  • University graduate from a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in settlements, middle office
  • Proficiency in trade booking and settlement systems like Bloomberg, Gloss, Murex, SWIFT etc
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in APAC and global trade processing
