COO - Investment firm

This is an investment firm that invests in primary and secondary market. They are looking for a COO , RO 4 and 9 who role will involve supervising a team of 3 in fund operations team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will lead various operating functions, responsible for Compliance and Legal and operations
• Lead the effort to manage external relationships with counterparties / brokers, vendors, custodians, law firms, external consultants
• Manage and be responsible for day to day operations and regulatory matters
• Oversee investment related operations activities including portfolio administration, valuations reconciliations, performance and PNL reporting, liquidity management, investment compliance, and regulatory monitoring
• Work with the Legal and Investment teams on investment structure, fund set-up, agreements, and contract negotiation
• Drive operational efficiency initiatives and improvements

Experience Requirements

• Degree graduate with 15-20 relevant experience in the finance/investment industry
• Previous experience in SFC Type 1,4,9 as RO is required
• Market knowledge and experience to both public Securities across various asset classes and markets; and private equity and alternative investments
• Solid all-round COO skills and knowledge across various non-investment functions inside an investment management firm
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Multi-task, organized and be able to take initiative with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• fluency in Mandarin and English
