AVP, Middle Office - Equity Derivatives

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an AVP in the Middle Office for Equity Derivatives. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of structured products and derivatives, along with a strong background in trade support and operations functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee middle office operations related to equities derivatives, ensuring accurate trade capture and processing.
• Collaborate with front office teams to facilitate seamless trade execution and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor end-to-end trade workflows and identify control points along the process chain to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to derivatives trading.
• Provide insights and support on fundamental derivatives pricing and risk management.
• Optimize operational processes and implement enhancements utilizing tools like Alteryx, Python, and Macro VBA.
• Train and mentor junior staff on operational procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience in trade support, middle office, or operations functions within a financial services environment.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Business/Finance studies.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end flows in a structured and derivatives trading business.
• Fundamental knowledge of derivatives pricing and risk management concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Teams, Co-pilot, Alteryx, Python, and Macro VBA.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
