Trade Ops Support (L1 application support)

Our client is one of the leading financial services around the world. With their growing business, they are now looking for an application support associate to join their trading operations team and assist their trading platform. You will support front office equity trading systems and numerous business applications

The team is heavily involved in various work streams including the delivery of a new Trading Platform and is responsible for dealing with all internal and external stakeholder trading related queries.

Purpose of the role is to provide an effective first-line supervision for all trading activity on the trading platform as well as first-line support and oversight for all trading queries.

In this role you will be responsible to:

• Provide trading application support for the equity trading business.
• Operate and support Order Management System and Order Matching System
• Interact closely with Front Office trading desks, ensure seamless support for the business
• First-line supervision for all trading activities
• Error trades and price bands handling
• APAC trading members support and inquiries
• Facilitate trading members, software vendors & market data vendors on operational requests & incidents including exchange connectivity, market data enquiries & trading application issues
• Ensure the Trade Policy and Dynamic Price Bands are managed effectively and consistently
• Perform health-checks after systems started up
• Manage major incidents on trading platform, including communications management
• Effective handling of all stakeholder queries relating to pricing procedures and Trading Operations in general
• Troubleshoot issues relating to trading platform, escalating to support teams when necessary
• Liaise with and complete a daily handover with the London team
• Complete trader accreditations and internal staff training
• Review and update departmental documentation
• Ensure regulatory reports on trading users and activity are completed accurately and on time
• Recommend and promote enhancements to the management on issues that will benefit the price discovery procedures, and to participate in all relevant projects and initiatives
• Undertake project work as and when required, including UAT testing and updating operational procedures to reflect new processes for the new trading platform delivery projects
• Assist with the rollout of the new trading platform to Asia Pacific members and software vendors

Requirements

• A University Degree, preferably in Finance/ Business Administration/ Information Technology/ Computer Science or related subjects
• Thorough knowledge in electronic trading
• Experience in trading support
• Experience in OMS and order life cycle will have a great advantage
