Associate, Cash Equities Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate in Cash Equities Operations to support post-trade functions for cash securities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely clearing, settlement, and exception investigation of cash securities and related transactions in the Asia-Pacific markets while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Support: Handle daily clearing and settlement activities, ensuring accurate transaction processing and resolving any discrepancies.

Reconciliation and Controls: Perform daily reconciliations, including bank, trading account, and monthly broker rebates. Identify exceptions and ensure timely resolution.

Offshore Team Management: Collaborate closely with offshore teams, providing supervision and oversight of daily tasks to ensure effective operations and support for colocation contingencies.

Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows to identify opportunities for enhancement. Develop and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and controls.

Stakeholder Liaison: Represent the function in regional meetings, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and providing guidance to resolve queries and manage escalations.

Project Support: Equip the team to support new projects and business initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of cash equities markets is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in sell-side operations or accounting.
- Experience in managing and overseeing offshore teams is required.
- Strong communication skills; fluency in English is a must.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and market settlement mechanics is advantageous.
- A proactive team player who can adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Highly committed, self-motivated, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality is crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of VBA or programming is a plus.
