Officer, operations (6 month contract)

Our client is seeking an officer to support various operational functions. Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following areas based on business needs and their expertise: Unit Trust/Fund Services, Middle Office, Credit Administration, or other operational functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across diverse banking operations while contributing to high-impact projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support, reporting, and accurate processing within tight timelines.
• Manage task assignments to ensure timely completion with high-quality standards.
• Prepare and issue instructions and client documentation.
• Handle exceptions, discrepancies, and irregularities with timely escalation to management.
• Support business initiatives/projects (e.g., user requirements, data analysis, UAT, post-project support).
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as required and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of banking products across asset classes.
• Experience in processes such as corporate actions, KYC/client on-boarding, CRS & FATCA reviews, account opening, credit documentation, and fund services operations.
• Ability to handle high transaction volumes under tight deadlines.
• Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel and Word; additional computer knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to be assigned to various streams based on experience and business needs.
