VP, Business Analyst
Our client is a leading Asian Investment Bank & Asset Manager looking to expand on their internal transformation team. Reporting into the Head of Transformation and sitting alongside a team of 4. Ideally looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with a strong understanding of OTC products.
Job Description:
- Process transformations. Evaluate and improve existing operational processes to align with industry best practices.
- Conduct workshops and interviews to gather detailed information and ensure requirements are fully understood.
- Identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions to address them
- Introduce process improvements to optimize operational management.
- Develop process flow diagrams and documentation to visualize existing and future-state processes.
- Create and assess business process models for new product launches and change projects.
- Partner with operations managers to define and document new process needs.
- Coordinate with technology teams to convert operational needs into system enhancements.
- Support project teams to ensure on-time completion of assigned tasks.
- Obtain approval from key operations leaders for proposed process improvements.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment and collaboration on transformation projects.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and potential risks or issues.
- Act as the bridge between business users and IT teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of business solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Over the Counter Derivatives products, and life cycle event, post trade controls.
- Experience working on medium to large-scale transformation projects, including re-platforming and process optimization.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with process mapping, requirements documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, data analytics, and reporting platforms is a plus.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Spoken & Written Cantonese and Mandarin)
