Corporate Development - VP (Financial Institution)

As a robust and profitable global financial institution, this organization is seeking to enhance its corporate development team in response to its expansion in Hong Kong. The aim is to drive the company's corporate development strategies, encompassing IPO plans and the pursuit of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Development to formulate and implement the company's corporate development initiatives, encompassing:
    • Working closely with senior management to devise and execute corporate strategies, including plans for IPO, and identifying organic and inorganic growth prospects.
    • Supporting business planning and conducting financing activities such as equity, bonds, and hybrid transactions.
    • Analyzing company profiles, conducting comprehensive market analyses, and constructing business cases, models, and valuations.
    • Crafting regular and ad hoc stakeholder reporting materials, including materials for the board, investment committee, and shareholders.
    • Providing essential ongoing post-transaction support.
    • Communicating and presenting M&A, financing, or other strategic opportunities to the Board and Senior Management.
    • Leading and coordinating project teams (internal and external) from project initiation to completion.
    • Collaborating with legal teams on drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, offering crucial insights on commercial terms.
    • Assisting in other ad-hoc strategic initiatives as directed by management.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Development roles, or serving within the FIG and insurance sectors.
  • Proficient project manager with a keen financial sense and strong analytical abilities.
  • Advanced expertise in operating and valuation modelling.
  • Exceptional integrity and a proven commitment to a service-oriented culture.
  • A team player with outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of delivering results effectively under pressure in a complex, sometimes ambiguous, international, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering compelling, high-quality presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates tact and sensitivity to the needs of management and stakeholders while managing expectations.
  • Capable of working independently and detail-oriented.
  • International travel may be required.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
