Senior Actuarial Manager

Our global insurance client is looking for strong actuarial talent to join their group insurance team.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join their team in Hong Kong. This role will involve developing an ALM model using the Prophet ALS model, conducting User Acceptance Tests (UAT), and preparing comprehensive reports for senior management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in actuarial modelling, with excellent quantitative and analytical skills. They will also be proficient in Prophet ALS model programming.

What you'll do:

  • Developing an ALM model using the Prophet ALS model
  • Analysing data/results and projecting cashflow from the Prophet ALS model
  • Comparing these projections with existing reporting results
  • Conducting User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for ALM models
  • Preparing comprehensive UAT reports
  • Drafting model methodology documentation and operational manuals
  • Preparing presentation packs and drafting papers for senior management meetings

What you bring:

  • A degree in actuarial science, mathematics or a bachelor of science degree
  • 5 to 10 years experience in actuarial modelling
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; including ability to 'think outside the box'
  • Excellence at Prophet ALS model programming, Microsoft Excel and Power Point software
  • Fluency in English
