Hedge Fund Operations (trade support/asset servicing)

This is a global institutional hedge fund looking for candidate to support asset servicing and trade processing. This role will be in a collaborative team environment

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the APAC trading desks, including but not limited to trade date confirmation and allocations between funds
• Communicating with prime brokers, custodians, traders, PMs (front and back office)
• Monitoring and booking corporate actions and reorganizations
• Oversight of cash and position discrepancies from reconciliations
• Investigation of issues that may arise from settlements and payments
• Prepare wires for funding and account sweeps
• Interaction with Co-Sourcing team and 3rd Party Administrator
• Monitor static data in the security database by setting up new securities/products
• Daily checking of trade date recaps for any other trades executed
• Processing of Placement/ investor letters
• Creating FX hedges at the end of the day and assisting with ad-hoc FX trades during the day
• Electronic trading implementation of new brokers and maintenance

Attributes

• Middle Office/Operational experience in Hedge Funds or Investment Banks
• 5-10 years experience (candidates who are more junior will be considered for a junior position)
• University degree qualification in a suitably related subject (Finance degree preferred)
• Strong communication skills – clear and concise, both orally and in writing
• English and Mandarin languages are mandatory
• Broad knowledge of multiple asset classes and markets
• Proactive problem solver and collaborative team player
• Fast learner, motivated, innovative and able to work under pressure
• Detail-minded and able to handle multiple priorities with analytical skills
