Credit Research Analyst (Sovereign)

An esteemed Hong Kong-based credit-focused hedge fund is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated credit researcher focusing on sovereign and country level research. You will have the opportunity to delve into detailed analysis of macroeconomics, assess economic fundamentals, geopolitical factors, policy making and valuations, and develop in-depth knowledge of economies and markets.

What you'll do:

As a Credit Research Analyst, you will be immersed in performing detailed analysis on macroeconomics. Your keen understanding of economic fundamentals, geopolitical factors, policy making and valuations will be crucial in determining overall credit worthiness and investment opportunities. You will conduct country analysis and develop an in-depth knowledge of economies and markets. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, your ability to communicate research ideas effectively will be highly valued. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to produce research publications for internal audiences.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Credit Research Analyst position brings up to 3 years of macro/ sovereign research and analysis experience. You possess a solid understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets, and public debt instruments. Your excellent academic background complements your independent thinking and intellectual curiosity. You are able to operate with a strong sense of initiative and ownership. Your ability to work under pressure while delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines sets you apart from others. Fluency in Mandarin is also required.
