An Investment Analyst to cover Technology Hardware / Semiconductor sectors.

Responsibilities

• Analysing potential investment opportunities covering Hardware and Semiconductors
• Building and maintaining company, industry and comparative valuations models in Excel using several equity research tools
• Compile relevant programs for quantitative analysis and build investment models for investment recommendations
• Developing a network of resources – library, brokers, external data services, internal analysts – to quickly and efficiently gather data on companies, industries and countries
• Performing in-depth market research and industry analysis to understand the global competitive, operational, financial, and regulatory dynamics that shape industries and companies
• Contributing to and authoring written company research
• Completing independent complex ad hoc analytical projects under tight time constraints
• Attending company meetings and industry conferences
• Actively helping manage the portfolio
• Developing and communicating investment ideas in spoken and written form

Requirements:

• 2 + years Technology Hardware / Semiconductor research experience (sell-side or buy-side)
• Strong academic background
• Passionate about the markets
• Demonstrated financial modelling skills using Excel and other equity research tools, and strong analytical ability
• Effective communications skills, both written and oral
• Ability to make decisions under uncertainty
• Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time well
• Strict attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Fluent (written and spoken) English and Mandarin language skills
