A prestigious financial institution in Central, Hong Kong seeks a Debt Capital Markets Team Head to lead overseas bond issuances, drive project execution, and strengthen client engagement within a collaborative environment supporting leadership, growth, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities:

As the Debt Capital Market Team Head, you will be entrusted with overseeing complex overseas bond issuance projects from start to finish. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve building meaningful connections with domestic branches to enhance customer engagement through well-organised marketing events.

• Lead and supervise the execution and underwriting of overseas bond issuance projects from origination to completion
• Coordinate with domestic head office branches to conduct client marketing and promote debt capital markets business
• Oversee project execution processes, ensuring smooth internal approvals, due diligence, and end-to-end project management
• Manage investor engagement activities including pitch meetings, roadshows, and cornerstone order coordination
• Support market and client analysis with senior management to strengthen project origination and business development

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you will bring substantial experience in debt capital markets alongside exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a proven track record of success in project execution. Your ability to foster collaboration within a team-oriented environment will be key to driving results.

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in debt capital markets with strong project execution exposure
• Proven track record in overseas bond issuance, having participated in 50+ deals in the past two years, including at least 10 JGC projects
• Strong Chinese writing and speaking skills with experience preparing pitchbooks and marketing materials
• Proficient in financial tools including Bloomberg, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with strong integrity and attention to detail
