Key responsibilities

As VP – Rates Trading, Global Markets, you will lead HKD and CNH rates trading with disciplined risk stewardship, expand the client franchise through strategic engagement, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver sustainable revenue growth and market-leading outcomes.

• Lead HKD and CNH EM products trading and market making to achieve financial targets
• Execute trades and hedging strategies with disciplined risk and limit management
• Optimise revenue and client coverage through insight into client segments, activity trends, and market dynamics
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Risk, Management, Back Office, IT) to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations
• Monitor positions, market and regulatory developments, ensuring accurate booking, compliance, and timely communication to stakeholders

Candidate profile

To excel in this role, you will bring hands-on HKD/CNH trading experience, manage EM Rates books with precision, identify fixed income opportunities, and communicate complex insights effectively across teams.

• 5+ years managing EM Rates trading books with proven results
• Deep expertise in Fixed Income products, including interest rate swaps and cross-currency swaps (CCS)
• Proven ability to develop trading and risk management strategies, presenting ideas clearly
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills, collaborating effectively with clients, sales, and trading teams
