VP, Rate Trading – Global Markets, Renowned Foreign Bank

Our client, a renowned foreign bank, is looking for someone to join as VP, Rate Trading – Global Markets.

Job Duties

• Responsible for trading key emerging market products, including HKD and CNH, and providing market‑making services to customers to achieve financial targets.
• Conduct market analysis to design and implement effective hedging strategies.
• Trade and manage positions in strict compliance with market‑making obligations and established risk limits.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders—sales, traders, management, risk control, back office, IT, and others—to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Drive revenue growth and expand client coverage by maintaining clear insight into client segments, activities, and industry trends.
• Deliver market intelligence and share relevant regulatory, legal, and tax updates with internal stakeholders and decision makers.
• Safeguard client business continuity and foster effective teamwork across local and global requirements.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands‑on trading experience in local HKD and CNH markets
• Over 5 years of proven success managing EM Rates trading books
• In‑depth knowledge of fixed income products, with specialization in interest rate swaps and cross‑currency swaps (CCS)
• Track record of developing effective trading and risk management strategies
• Skilled in producing comprehensive trading commentary and presenting actionable trading ideas and strategies
• Strong networking ability; adept at liaising with clients, sales teams, and traders
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
