Assistant Environmental Manager

A leading global provider of aviation services is seeking an Assistant Environmental Manager to join the Sustainable Development Team in Hong Kong. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful environmental strategies and contribute sustainable development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• As an Assistant Environmental Manager, you will help contribute and drive environmental performance, deliver sustainability initiatives, and support the Group’s long-term environmental and net-zero goals.
• Develop and support Group sustainability strategies, SOPs, targets, and performance monitoring frameworks
• Track and report progress of sustainability projects against the Group sustainability work plan
• Align projects and initiatives with Group’s 2050 goals on net-zero carbon, water neutrality, and zero waste to landfill
• Research and assess green building technologies and their feasibility for implementation across sites
• Support business units in defining project scope, design, plans, success criteria, and operational and procurement requirements, and provide technical recommendations

Requirements

To excel in this role, you bring a strong background in environmental management, with proven experience in driving environmental and sustainability projects. Your analytical, project management and stakeholder engagement expertise enable you to deliver sustainability initiatives and support the Group’s environmental performance goals. Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Well-organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), with strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
