A global live event solutions provider seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Hong Kong Island to integrate mechanical systems for stage and theme park facilities, delivering world-class productions while collaborating on international projects in a diverse and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer (Stage & Theme Park Facility), you will integrate mechanical systems for live productions, overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning across entertainment venues while ensuring safety and reliability.

  • Integrate mechanical and staging systems into cohesive projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and client specifications
  • Support shop testing, equipment setup, and preparation of systems prior to installation across venues such as theatres, theme parks, cruise ships, and location-based experiences
  • Assist with on-site installation, commissioning, and assembly/disassembly of custom show-built and rigging elements as part of the project team
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to manage tasks, address risks, and deliver reliable solutions with strong customer satisfaction
  • Uphold company safety standards, maintain accurate documentation and organisation, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and technical practices

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring hands-on Mechanical Engineering experience with complex systems, strong technical interpretation skills, Cantonese and English fluency, and willingness to travel for international projects.

  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles with experience in a mechanical technician or similar role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Basic electrical knowledge with strong written and communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin proficiency, and working-level English
  • Eligible to work in Hong Kong and comfortable operating in live entertainment or technical venue environments
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (100 days/year), winching/lifting machinery knowledge, or technical theatre experience is advantageous
