Production/ Operation Manager (Steel work)

We are looking for a Production/ Operation Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, product quality, output efficiency, and resource optimisation.
  • Lead and supervise production teams, providing direction, guidance, and continuous workforce development.
  • Translate business objectives into operational plans to support capacity readiness and production stability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure seamless operations.

Component Manufacturing Expertise

  • Manage end‑to‑end manufacturing activities related to steel production.
  • Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance coordination of process equipment and tooling.
  • Oversee material flow, machine utilisation, and production methods to meet output and quality standards.
  • Work with R&D and process engineering teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous process enhancements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Establish production KPIs and monitor performance across throughput, efficiency, scrap rates, downtime, and productivity.
  • Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular reports and present production performance to senior management.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with corporate safety guidelines, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, audits, and enforcing safety protocols on the shop floor.
  • Maintain documentation and readiness for internal and external audits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in plant operations.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, factory operations, and process optimisation.
  • Proven team‑leadership capability with experience managing production teams.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Opportunity to lead impactful initiatives and influence plant‑level strategy.
