A leading organisation in Hong Kong is seeking a General Insurance Officer to join their dedicated team, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact across both Hong Kong and Mainland China.

What you'll do:

  • Handle insurance claims for the Group across Hong Kong and Mainland China, ensuring each case is managed with care, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Respond promptly to enquiries from internal stakeholders regarding insurance matters, providing clear advice and guidance tailored to their needs.
  • Offer expert recommendations on property insurance policies, helping the Group maintain comprehensive coverage and risk management strategies.
  • Advise on public liability insurance issues, supporting the Group’s commitment to safety and legal compliance in all operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of claims and policy documentation, ensuring information is organised and accessible for audit or review purposes.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to share insights on insurance trends and best practices, contributing to communal knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua when liaising with clients, partners, or regulatory bodies.
  • Support the continuous improvement of insurance processes by identifying areas for enhancement and sharing constructive feedback with the team.

What you bring:

  • Degree holder with preference given to those who possess ACII or ANZIIF professional insurance qualifications, demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field.
  • At least three years’ experience working within general insurance environments, showcasing your dependable track record of handling complex cases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of property insurance principles as well as public liability coverage requirements relevant to large organisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to connect easily with colleagues at all levels and provide empathetic support during claim processes.
  • Outstanding communication abilities in written and spoken English as well as Chinese (including Putonghua), ensuring clarity when advising stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams while sharing insights generously for communal benefit.
  • Attention to detail when managing documentation or reviewing policy terms so that nothing is overlooked.
  • Sensitivity towards client needs coupled with a polite approach when resolving queries or concerns.
