Assistant Manager (Fleet Management, in house, automotive)

Our client is seeking for an Assistant Manager for their fleet management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead initiatives to optimize fleet performance, safety, and reliability through strategic collaborations with manufacturers and ongoing communications
  • Serve as the primary engineering liaison with the Transport Department's Bus Safety Department, ensuring all projects and type approvals meet stringent regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of new bus tender processes, from initiation to successful delivery
  • Lead key fleet modification campaigns, ensuring all modifications adhere to industry and legal standards and deliver tangible improvements in passenger experience and operational efficiency
  • Establish and maintain technical standards of excellence
  • Identify and implement innovative products, safety measures, and technological advancements
  • Foster a culture of unwavering commitment to health and safety, engineering legislation, and company policies
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional communication to ensure seamless collaboration among team members
  • Remain at the forefront of industry advancements, continuously refining engineering skills and staying ahead of emerging trends
  • Ensure prompt and accurate completion of engineering records, maintaining the highest standards of documentation

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle engineering, or maintenance workshop operations
  • Passion for developing team members to enhance overall efficiency
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulations regarding Road Traffic Ordinance, type approval processes, and fleet modification programs
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with government bodies, internal teams, and external partners
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese languages
