Facility Manager (Data Center, Mechanical)

A leading organisation in Hong Kong seeks a Facility Manager to oversee data centre operations and maintenance, using mechanical or building services engineering expertise within a collaborative environment focused on growth, excellence, and work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

As a Facility Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of a modern data centre by managing plant maintenance, technical improvements, incident response, and compliance. You will collaborate with contractors and internal teams while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

• Lead and supervise all plant and facilities maintenance, including reporting and documentation
• Provide technical leadership for E&M improvement works, testing, commissioning, and tenant fit-out handovers
• Manage planned maintenance works with contractors and customers to ensure service continuity
• Handle incidents, internal escalations, and ongoing coordination with internal teams and clients
• Oversee procurement approvals and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems for data centre operations

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a dependable professional with extensive experience in facility management within data centres or large-scale facilities. Your technical expertise in mechanical or building services engineering is complemented by strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership.

• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines
• Possess 10–15 years of experience in building electrical systems or MVAC operation and maintenance within large-scale facilities
• Have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in data centre operations with proven incident management skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in systems such as UPS units, chillers, generators (Gensets), air-conditioning equipment (CRACs), and LV switchboards
• Proficient in English and Chinese; candidates with limited experience may be eligible for Assistant Facility Manager
