A leading multinational data centre solutions provider is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / AM (Data Center, Mechanical) to join their growing team Hong Kong. With exposure to advanced technologies, this position supports your career growth within a rapidly expanding organisation.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer / AM (Data Center, Mechanical), you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of critical mechanical systems within state-of-the-art data centres. Your expertise will ensure seamless service delivery for clients while supporting the company’s ambitious regional expansion plans.

  • Supervise technical teams and oversee planned maintenance schedules to ensure efficient and safe operations across all assigned data centre locations
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to maintain operational reliability
  • Troubleshoot facility-level issues promptly and prepare detailed reports in line with internal service level agreements
  • Assist in tenant fit-out projects by testing installations, commissioning systems, and facilitating smooth handovers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions for complex facility challenges

Candidate profile

Your background as an Assistant Manager or Senior Facility Engineer equips you with deep expertise in managing mission-critical environments such as data centres or large-scale facilities. You bring strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems alongside excellent organisational and leadership skills.

  • A degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Proven experience in data centre operations or critical facility management is essential
  • In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, chillers, generators (gensets), LV switchboards, CRAC units, and other critical infrastructure components is required
  • Strong problem-solving abilities demonstrated through conducting root cause analyses and implementing effective solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to supervise multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
