Senior Project Engineer (up to 50K, Client side, Data Center)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and guarantee the completion of site operations in high quality, adhering to contractual obligations and Hong Kong laws.
• Generate defect lists for distribution to contractors and oversee the resolution of these defects.
• Facilitate communication between design teams, drafters, and on-site workers.
• Supervise and document the progression of work on-site, highlighting any significant concerns.
• Manage and supervise testing and commissioning processes.
• Compile documentation and maintain records of executed tasks.
• Lead and manage team members, if applicable, and undertake additional responsibilities related to contract administration as directed.
• Possess a credible history of success in similar roles.
• Conduct thorough examinations of contractor-provided shop drawings and material submissions against tender documents and project specifications.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on method statements submitted by the contractor.
• Promptly address technical inquiries, information requests, and change proposals arising from the site.
• Offer insights on value engineering proposals concerning technical aspects, costs, and schedules presented by the contractor.
• Regularly inspect and report on the installation of MEP systems against contract details, drawings, and industry best practices.
• Uphold and enhance site safety protocols; Document and communicate any violations to the Senior Project Manager; Cease construction activities if unsafe practices are observed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, such as Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in relevant fields, with a strong background in on-site work.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in Data Center New Build Projects from conception through to Delivery and Lifecycle Management Completion.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, as well as Chinese and Mandarin.
