Head of Property and Project Development

I am helping a sizable listed company to hire a Head of Property and project development to lead their property portfolio development. He/she will in charge of the property development stratregy, project management, financial management and leasing.

Responsibilities

• Being the leader of the group property and project team, oversee the architecture, engineering and facilities management team
• Develop a long-term strategic property development plan
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution, including resource allocation and risk management.
• Lead and manage multiple renovation or expansion construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Long-term operating expense and capital expenditure budget planning, cost and benefit analysis
• Oversee property lease agreements, establishing guidelines and standards for leasing terms and conditions and ensure compliance with local law and regulations
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, and monitor financial performance to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices in construction.
• Manage and formulate strategies for effective use of all promises, from planning to implementation of facility management control, including safety and preventive measures, to ensure the facility management vendor follow our procedures with feedback loop in place
• Ensure sustainability measures are implemented effectively
• Formulate and update Standard Operating Procedures and perform risk and compliance assessments
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Surveying, Project Management or related discipline
• At least 15 years of relevant experience with exp. in people management
• Member of relevant professional institutions, e.g. HKIA, HKIS, HKIPM, IFMA etc.
• Good knowledge of regulations and legal framework related to properties
• Professional knowledge on technical planning, design and materials details
• Professional knowledge on maintenance of building systems, equipment and materials
• Strong interpersonal and communication, and negotiation skills
• Both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
