Head of Credit, SME

The role will report to the CRO and manage a team of credit approvers.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the credit approval team for a range of client consist of SME clients
- Advise and work closely with senior stakeholders on the approval process
- Drive and support credit related business initiatives, including policy/ procedure review to scope with regulatory and economic changes
- Responsible for daily credit risk management and assessment and take prompt actions for material risk-related issues and report to senior management if required
- Experience in the formulation of scorecard based unsecured SME lending programme would be an advantage

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above, Master degree holder/CPA/CRM would be a plus
- 12+ years of credit risk management experience in a corporate banking environment with credit approval authority
- Prior managerial experience as well as the ability to partner and liaise with multiple business units
- Holder of ECF Certification on Credit Risk Management (CCRP(CPM))
- Solid knowledge of the current market practice in Hong Kong; great credit sense and understanding of corporate/commercial banking products as well as the related regulations
- High proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
