Senior Risk Analyst , Investments (up to 60k)

Our client is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst from a quantitative background (maths, actuarial , finance etc) who will work closely with the investment and operations team in risk analysis on investment/ portfolio risk. You will be part of the investment risk office to provide a defence in portfolio management of the investment portfolio.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible and take the lead on risk and operations in due diligences and ensure comprehensive reporting/MIS , with assured data quality
· Analyse the reports and share insights and interpretations to investment team on portfolio risk matters
· Be a strong user of risk systems and own processes relating to the areas of focus (e.g., private equity and high yield).
· Assist other team members to ensure that there is a back-up for key areas of BAU, for all asset classes
· Mentor and guide the junior members of the team.
· Understand and assist in profiling the particular risks of the portfolio other than market risk (e.g., liquidity/ counterparty/ operational). To ensure complete understanding of the existing process and explore ways to improvise on the same.



Requirements:

· Undergraduate/masters in a quantitative disciplines (e.g., finance, maths) with keen interest in financial markets
· 3-6 years of experience in risk/ quantitative analysis in an investment set-up/ banks.
· CFA and FRM is preferred (or in progress)
· Strong in Data management & Quantitative analysis
· Ability to work with/write codes (scripts) in SQL/ Python/ VBA
· Good understanding of undergraduate linear algebra (matrices) and statistics.
