Responsibilities:
- Assist with the formulation and execution of recovery and restructuring strategies for stressed and distressed assets.
- Lead syndicates of banks, advisors and internal stakeholders through complex negotiations for the implementation of restructuring solutions for the bank’s stressed and distressed credits.
- Develop the regional credit management framework to systemise the use of options analyses and valuations to proactively manage the problem assets and credit workout
- Input and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of credit policies, procedures, processes; internal training and competencies of relationship managers in ensuring an efficient and proactive professional problem loan collection effort.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with regulators, when required
- Monitor and advise Management on the impacts of economic and regulatory changesPeople:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits
- Maintain good working knowledge of global and regional industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
- University degree or above
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in stressed and distressed credit risk management and restructuring
Candidates with prior experience in front office either managing credit workout or corporate finance and/or with advanced loan and deal structuring and negotiation skills would be advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other divisions/departments including across geographical locations
- Work out experience through one to two economic downturn cycles together with prior experience in financial analysis and modelling
- Cross functional understanding of risk and controls
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of the global banking regulatory environment
