An investment group, headquartered in Hong Kong, is looking for an Assistant Manager, Regulatory Reporting! We are keen to speak to candidates with minimum of 4 years of relevant experiences, knowledgeable in Derivatives products, and familiar with different regulations (HKMA, MAS, FCA).
Responsibilities:
- Upload the relevant information from the company’s internal systems to the designated Trade Repositories of HKMA/ SFC, MAS & FCA- UK.
- Working with Operations and IT to develop and enhance regulatory reporting processes and reconciliation reports to validate timeliness and accuracy of data reported.
- Liaising with Compliance to understand new regulatory requirements of what needs to be reported to the regulators, and dealing with Compliance and the Regulators in the event of a mis-reporting.
- Participate in new product testing from Regulatory reporting perspective. Ensure trades captured are aligned with the term sheets and follow the market standards
- Performing verification checks and reconciliations on data supplied to the regulators to check timeliness and accuracy of reporting for reports submitted to HKTR or other regulators across the company’s global network.
- Adhering to the escalation matrix in bringing to attention missed reporting’s
- Maintaining a current database of all information, documents, procedures and reports to ensure governance of the Regulatory Reporting framework.
- Responding to internal audit requests and queries on regulatory reporting processes and controls.
- Promote ideas for process improvement and assisting in their implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline
- Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are a must-have. Proficiency in Business Mandarin/Cantonese is desirable
- Good working knowledge of Derivatives Products
- Knowledge of Operations and Control functions in relation to Fixed Income, Credit and Equity Derivative Products required.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in Hong Kong, Singapore, UK / EU
- Attention to detail and process oriented
- Investigative analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Good prioritization, organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Desire to be challenged and learn
- Preferably someone who has previous work experience in Calypso or Imagine
