Crisis Management Analyst

Role Overview: A top tier investment bank is hiring a crisis management analyst to join their Asia Pacific team on 12-month (renewal basis). The incumbent will be responsible to update risk relevant data and conduct ongoing risk assessment and support decision making in a crisis - this role will require shift rotation. Candidate with degree in political science, journalism, research, or risk management are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• provide routine reporting based on issues which may affect business as high risk travel, event related risk, facilities, natural disasters and other threats
• prepare high quality staff communication where required
• conduct research and analysis on Asia Pacific political issues that may inform understanding of risk environment, in both written and verbal briefings in English
• maintain and manage crisis management risk data
• collate and update risk data to form ongoing risk assessment in decision making in a crisis
• assist with crisis response and escalate in a timely manner where necessary including but not limited to natural, man-made hazards, extreme weather and utility disruptions
• assist with periodic testing, review and revision of crisis plans

Key Skills:

• bachelor degree in political science, journalism, research, risk management or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• excellent written and verbal command in English (additional language skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean or Hindi is preferable but not a must)
• good communication skills
• ability to read and summary multiple sources of information and distil into key findings
• attention to detail
• team player, ability to work well as a team, conduct high standard handovers on shared tasks
• ability to work under pressure
