AVP, custody settlement team leader/manager, 60K

A reputable foreign investment bank is adding an additional headcount in their custody settlement team in Hong Kong, currently looking for experienced settlement candidate to join as a team leader.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a people manager of the custody settlement team which based in Hong Kong
• Manage day-to-day settlement and corporate actions for HK and Overseas cash equities, bonds
• Review processes procedures and systems; implement and support business initiatives which improve customer experience and operational efficiency
• Work closely with project team on project planning, implementation, review BRD and FSD and provide user requirements on system changes.
• Monitor the performance of the Line against the pre-agreed Service Level Documents that exist between each processing function
• Provide guidance to the business partner in respect to their operation supported in the offshore center.
• Escalation & involvement in resolution of exceptions around complex & high risk issues.
• Ensure all control measures relevant to the job responsibilities are undertaken to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree holder
• At least 7 years of settlement experience in foreign corporate investment banking/brokerage environment preferably with knowledge in the custody sector
• Hands on settlement knowledge in cash equities and cash bonds in HK and overseas market
• Strong understanding in clearing, settlement and custodian operations
• Familiar with local regulatory framework and related regulatory requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• People management experience is a plus; strong leadership mentality
