This role involves providing daily middle office support for equity linked products. It requires strong operational experience and product knowledge with a keen understanding of regulatory and compliance matters, along with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. As part of a small team you will be expected to create a strong control framework with robust process and procedures to mitigate risk, whilst enabling accuracy and efficiency in all operational functions. The ability to multi-task is essential, as the ambition to drive change and seek creative solutions in a timely manner to support the growth of the business. Whilst experience of operating in a small, successful team is preferred, candidates able to demonstrate a willingness to adapt and be part of an innovative, growing business will also be considered.
- Responsible for standard middle office tasks associated with equities and structured products (including fund derivatives, SPVs and Notes/warrants), from trade date to maturity. This may include, but is not limited to, trade bookings/validations, cancel/amendments and key lifecycle events (for example expiries and corporate actions).
- Liaising with front office and other functions to resolve issues in a timely manner. As part of a small team this will require the ability to work closely with other stakeholders and understand the front to back process.
- Various project work, either individually or as part of the wider team, to drive new initiatives, improve/implement middle office procedures and to enhance operational controls. Over time this should result in increased scalability for the business whilst managing risk.
- Implement and maintain regular, market standard reports for internal stakeholders in conjunction with finance, product control and compliance.
