Research Assistant ( Hedge Fund; Native Japanese Speaker)

A 60-billion-dollar Global Hedge Fund, looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and highly motivated Native Japanese speaker for the post of a Research Assistant. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Role:
The Research Assistant will support the Portfolio Manager and investment team that cover a variety
of sectors such as consumer, financials, healthcare, tech & communications, and industrials.

Responsibilities:
• Work with sell-side brokers on conference schedule coordination, non-deal roadshows, and
analyst calls
• Manage script translations, maintain commission sheet information, filing and ad-hoc projects
• Gather relevant data information on stocks (i.e – annual reports, quarterly releases,
presentations, research reports)
• Coordinate NDAs for signature, maintaining the document library and writing compliance notes
• Update and manage contact database for brokers and other key business contacts
• Upload company profiles into salesforce with relevant information
• Maintain a good understanding of our company’s reporting policies   

Requirements:
• Native Japanese speaker with fluency in English is a must
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar administrative capacity within the finance sector
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook
• Candidate should be resourceful, proactive and display good judgement
• Detail orientated with good sense of time management
• Team player and have a positive attitude. A “no job is too big or too small” approach is very
important to our culture
• Must be comfortable working with people at all organizational levels
• Highest level of integrity, professionalism and discretion is required
