Head of Internal Audit | 70% PRC Travel

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Internal Audit to lead and expand the internal audit function within a leading Chinese group. This role requires extensive travel to PRC (70%) and offers a unique opportunity to build and enhance a high-performing audit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 6, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Build and expand the internal audit team to meet evolving organizational needs.
• Design and implement enhancements to audit methodologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct risk-based audits across operational, financial, and IT areas, with a strong focus on IT audit expertise.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across the group’s operations.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to provide actionable insights and support risk management strategies.
• Oversee audit planning, reporting, and follow-up to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in internal audit leadership, preferably within a large or multinational Chinese group.
• Strong expertise in IT audit, including knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to build and grow a team, with excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (70%) to PRC.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Professional qualifications such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
