Assistant Auditor, Immediate

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Auditor to join their team. You will be responsible for checking accounts, assisting in compiling audit manuals, organising briefing sessions, and performing other ad-hoc duties. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent, at least two years of experience in auditing or insolvency, excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, and proficiency in computer operations.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Auditor to join their team. You will be responsible for checking accounts, assisting in compiling audit manuals, organising briefing sessions, and performing other ad-hoc duties.

As an Assistant Auditor, your primary role will involve meticulous checking of accounts submitted by external liquidators and trustees. You will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance and Bankruptcy Ordinance. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the compilation of audit manuals, organising informative briefing sessions for external parties.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform checking of accounts submitted by outside liquidators and/or trustees under Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance and Bankruptcy Ordinance.
  • Assist officers in compiling the audit manual and/or any other guidelines relating to the checking of accounts.
  • Organise regular briefing sessions to outside liquidators or trustees.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties relating to the audit and examination/review of accounts under Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance and Bankruptcy Ordinance.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification
  • Student Member of CPA with at least two years working experience in auditing or insolvency.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
  • Strong ability to work independently in an organised manner with good analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Immediately available or short notice
