A leading MNC logistics group is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to oversee APAC consolidation, reporting, and IFRS compliance. Based in Hong Kong, this role partners with 18 markets, drives financial accuracy, strengthens controls, and delivers insightful analysis to support regional performance. Ideal for accounting professionals with strong analytical skills and international exposure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Consolidation & Reporting

  • Lead monthly Group consolidation for APAC countries, ensuring timely and accurate financial submissions.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, producing clear and concise executive‑ready commentaries.
  • Review, validate, and enhance the APAC management reporting pack to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Group accounting and reporting standards.

2. Technical Accounting & IFRS Compliance

  • Ensure consistent implementation of IFRS‑aligned Group accounting policies across all country entities.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to local finance teams, serving as the regional subject‑matter expert.
  • Maintain strong alignment with Group Finance on updates, methodologies, and governance requirements.

3. Internal Controls, Balance Sheet & Risk Management

  • Review and challenge Balance Sheet schedules across the region, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor financial risks including aged items, exposure areas, and process gaps.
  • Work closely with country teams to develop and execute remediation actions to strengthen accounting integrity and operational control.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Lead the annual budget consolidation process, ensuring alignment of country submissions with Group guidelines and historical trends.
  • Provide analytical insight to validate assumptions and enhance financial planning accuracy.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to refine financial models and planning methodologies.

5. Business Partnering & Cross‑Region Collaboration

  • Act as a regional business partner to country finance leads, fostering consistency, transparency, and shared understanding across markets.
  • Support senior leadership with financial insights that inform decision‑making and operational improvement.
  • Contribute to regional finance transformation, reporting improvements, and best‑practice sharing initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines.
  • CPA qualification highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally from the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven experience in management reporting, variance analysis, and regional consolidation.
  • Regional or multinational exposure is a significant advantage.
  • High proficiency in Excel; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin with excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
  • Strong analytical mindset, hands‑on attitude, and the ability to manage multiple regional stakeholders.
