Seeking a hands‑on (Assistant) Finance Manager to support full‑spectrum finance for a growing property business. Responsibilities include accounting, reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and business partnering. This role works closely with the Hong Kong Business Head and offers broad exposure in a fast‑growing environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on (Assistant) Finance Manager to support the financial operations of our expanding property business. This is an all‑rounded role suitable for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with business leaders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting, financial control, management reporting, budgeting, and supporting strategic initiatives as the business continues to scale.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Accounting

  • Oversee full‑set accounting, month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with HKFRS and internal policies.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash flow activities, and bank reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional parties.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare timely monthly management reports with meaningful variance and performance analysis.
  • Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and business insights for senior management decision‑making.
  • Support forecasting and rolling financial updates.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting exercises.
  • Partner with business units to understand financial impacts of operational and commercial decisions.
  • Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis for new investments or projects.

Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and governance frameworks as the business grows.
  • Streamline financial processes and support system enhancement or digitalisation initiatives.
  • Ensure tax compliance including profits tax, GST/VAT (if applicable), and stamp duty matters related to property transactions.

Business Partnering

  • Work closely with the Hong Kong Business Head and department leaders to support business expansion.
  • Provide financial insights for property acquisitions, leasing decisions, project evaluations, and cost management.
  • Coordinate with regional or group finance teams (if applicable).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Qualified accountant (HKICPA / ACCA / CPA Australia or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting/finance experience; property, real estate, asset management exposure is required
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a growing environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with senior management.
  • Proactive, self‑driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
