Assistant Accountant | Retail MNC | 30k

The role covers multi-country accounting operations — including AP, AR, GL, and month-end closing.

Company Overview
My client is a well-established retail MNC with strong regional operations across Asia. To support business growth and enhance financial control efficiency, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant with solid retail industry experience to join their regional finance team based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and GL functions, across multiple markets in the Asia-Pacific region
• Assist in month-end closing, journal preparation, account reconciliations, and consolidation of regional financial data
• Support preparation of management reports, sales and expense analysis, and regional performance reviews
• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and commentary
• Liaise with overseas finance teams, business units, and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Regional exposure or experience supporting multi-country operations preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
