My client - A long-established Hong Kong family business and global leader in artificial botanicals and décor manufacturing, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee finance operations across HK and Thailand. The role is HK‑based with monthly travel to Thailand and requires strong communication skills to support and monitor the Thailand team.

Due to business expansion, we are seeking a high-calibre Finance Manager to join our Hong Kong headquarters. This role supports group-level finance activities and plays a key role in managing our Thailand-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Lead full-spectrum finance and accounting functions for Hong Kong and provide oversight for Thailand operations.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, budgeting, and forecasting with analysis for senior leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and group policies.
  • Oversee cost control, OPEX analysis, and margin reporting for various product categories and manufacturing outputs.

Thailand Operations Oversight

  • Travel to Thailand once every month to monitor finance staff, workflows, and factory-level accounting processes.
  • Strengthen communication between HK headquarters and Thailand teams to ensure aligned reporting.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of operational efficiency, stock management, and on‑site financial procedures.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance monitoring to the Thailand finance team.

Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across sales, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide financial insights supporting strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with manufacturing heads across China and Thailand to analyze production costs and efficiencies.
  • Support new business initiatives, system enhancements, and sustainability-related financial tracking.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations across HK and Thailand.
  • Strengthen governance frameworks, internal control measures, and risk mitigation procedures.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 6–10 years’ experience in finance/accounting, ideally with manufacturing or trading exposure.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage, guide, and monitor Thailand finance staff.
  • Prior regional exposure or experience working with overseas teams is a strong advantage.
  • Strong command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin;
  • Willingness to travel to Thailand once per month.
  • Mature, hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a family-owned business setting.
