The role takes responsibility for specified annual, monthly, and weekly financial support activities, as well as providing direct assistance to the Financial Controller in the preparation of reports, returns and ad hoc activities as directed. In the absence of the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager is expected to cover a range of accounting and reporting activities.


Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Contract / Legal documents database, ensuring it is kept up to date as required.
• Liaise closely with local auditors to ensure audit evidence is complete.
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliation process.
• Prepare VAT returns and reconciliations

• Ensure power recovery is in line with business KPIs and perform close review of the billing process.
• Ensure business rates recovery and rebates are in line with business KPIs and perform close review of the billing process.
• Perform deferred revenue and straight-lining controls in Yardi.
• Monitor accruals and prepayments.
• Monitor capex expenditure.
• Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax schedules.
• System administration (supplier and customer set-up).
• Assist with identifying KPIs, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the results.
• Assist with the implementation of new initiatives, procedures, and policies.


Person Specification

Technical Knowledge and Experience
• Essential
o Educated to degree level of above
o Accountancy qualification – Qualified
o Post qualification experience in a similar role, undertaking similar tasks, or as an auditor
• Desirable
o Experience of ERP system
