The role is a group finance function in a fast-growing international Investment Management Firm that will be responsible for accounting operations and financial control of key regional entities. You will have the opportunity to lead and drive performance and value for the business.This role needs to work with a lot of department (heads) and external party (SAP vendor) and hence maturity/assertiveness is needed

Job Duties

•Responsible for full set of accounts for Group entities (i.e. ownership of legal entity control) such as reviewing journal entries for book closing to ensure accounting treatments comply with IFRS

•Prepare management reports and account closing information including balance sheet substantiation, cost allocations, detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, costs analysis, etc

•Prepare financial statements for audit based on IFRS and coordinate annual audit and tax filing

•Review in-house corporate tax computation and review corporate tax returns prepared by external service providers and review tax returns for overseas companies, e.g., GST/VAT returns

•Liquidity management: prepare cashflow forecast, manage cash flows such as funding for operations, collection of fees receivables, intercompany fund transfers.

•Prepare budget and forecast for business units and group cost centres and analyse financial and operational results

•Involved in banking authorisation/administration process

•Work closely with other business finance team members to improve and streamline operations, account closing processes / procedures

•Change management: Support the Group Financial Controller through assisting in system enhancements and other project-based work, act as an internal project manager. Prepare documentations such as procedural manuals

Requirements

• Experienced legal entity controller who is a CPA with at least 8-10 years of accounting experience gained from the financial services industry or MNC

• Driven, detail oriented, organized, responsible and independent, proactive, self-motivated and willing to take initiative to problem solve

• Results-oriented yet flexible and adaptable

• Hands on and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• A strong team player with a collaborative working style

• A strong and confident communicator: good command of both written and spoken English

• Possess good MS Excel skills and systems skills

• Experience in system enhancement is definitely a plus
