The Group Finance Leader oversees global consolidation, governance, accounting policies and audit readiness for vairious entiries over multiple countries. Partnering with Treasury & Tax and Finance Transformation, this role ensures a high‑quality close, robust controls, reliable reporting and a scalable finance platform under D365. Based in Hong Kong, this position leads Regional Controllers and the Group Controllership team.

Overview

The Group Finance Leader leads all aspects of group reporting, consolidation, accounting policy and governance, ensuring accurate, audit‑ready financials and a predictable global close.


Key Responsibilities

1) Group Reporting & Consolidation

  • Own monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and the global close calendar.
  • Ensure full IFRS compliance, strong entity submission standards and accurate intercompany reconciliation.
  • Maintain high‑quality consolidation adjustments and reporting integrity.

2) Governance, Controls & Audit

  • Own Group accounting policies and the finance governance framework.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure global readiness for external and internal audits.

3) Cashflow & FX Reporting (Reporting only)

  • Lead consolidated cashflow forecasting and actuals reporting.
  • Align cashflow with P&L and balance sheet.
  • Consolidate FX exposure reporting (transactional, translational, net investment).
  • Ensure correct IFRS accounting for FX (revaluation, CTA, eliminations).
  • Partner with Treasury & Tax by providing reliable data for liquidity, hedging and tax governance.

4) D365 Finance Governance

  • Provide functional requirements and approval for D365 finance components (CoA, financial dimensions, workflows, close automation).
  • Oversee data migration outcomes from a Group reporting lens.
  • Partner with Finance Transformation on design/configuration/execution.

5) Standardisation & SSC Partnership

  • Align SOPs, KPIs/SLAs and automation standards with SSC leadership for AP/AR/GL.
  • Support process harmonisation that enables accurate consolidation and audit readiness.

6) Working Capital Governance

  • Lead Group working capital governance (DSO, DPO, inventory turns, cash conversion cycle).
  • Collaborate with Regional Controllers; SSC executes operations; Treasury uses outputs for liquidity and hedging decisions.

7) Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach and develop Regional Controllers and the Group Controllership team.
  • Serve as key liaison to internal/external auditors and cross‑functional leaders.
  • Partner with Treasury & Tax, Finance Transformation and FP&A to ensure one source of truth and consistent narratives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CPA / ACCA / ICAEW or equivalent).
  • 16+ years senior finance experience in multinationals.
  • Deep expertise in group consolidation, governance, audit and IFRS.
  • Strong ERP background (D365 preferred).
  • Manufacturing sector experience is a strong plus.
