Securities Business Consultant

A leading global organisation is seeking a Securities Business Consultant for a Project-based role (expected 6–12 months) in Hong Kong. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive digitalisation, AI initiatives, and customer data excellence within securities management.

Key responsibilities

As a Securities Business Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing a future-state data architecture that enables digitalisation, AI use cases, and a trusted customer data foundation, while supporting scalable regional and local delivery.

• Design To-Be Data Architecture supporting digitalisation, AI use cases, golden source customer data, and balanced regional vs. local allocation
• Perform gap analysis and build solid business cases with budgets aligned to business drivers
• Propose IT resource plan (key roles, skills, headcount) aligned to target competencies and roadmap
• Conduct RDC Feasibility Study (location options, build/buy/operate model, requirements on HK/SG IT, setup proposal)
• Support project delivery across Hong Kong and Singapore, with regular cross-office coordination and travel between both locations as required, and the ability to work effectively within teams

Candidate profile

To excel in this role, you bring strong financial services and regulatory experience to support transformation initiatives across securities and trading platforms in Asia.

• 10+ years’ experience in financial services consulting or in-house transformation, focused on securities, brokerage and trading systems
• Proven experience delivering application/data architecture assessments, enterprise architecture design and Target Operating Model for banking or securities institutions in Asia
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and Singapore regulatory environments (SFC, MAS)
• Hands-on experience in customer data management, golden source programmes, data governance, and integration with wealth platforms and EDW, with familiarity in global reference architectures
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and business-case skills, strong executive communication, and fluency in English (Mandarin/Cantonese an advantage)
